How pass and play works
Pick a game and players
Choose a game, type your names and decide who goes first. Playing alone? Switch to the computer and pick how strongly it plays.
Take turns on one device
Make your move and hand the device over. Turn on the pass screen if you want a clear “Pass to Maya” moment between turns.
Undo, rematch, keep score
Undo a slip, restart or play a rematch where the other player starts. The score for your session is kept, and the game saves itself.
Works offline, installs like an app
Open the site once while you are online and every game, rules guide and tutorial is stored on your device. After that you can play on a plane, on a road trip or anywhere without Wi-Fi. Add it to your home screen to open it like any other app.
- No internet needed after the first visit
- Phone, tablet or computer
- Games save on your device

Frequently asked questions
What does pass and play mean?
Pass and play means everyone shares one device. You make your move, then hand the phone, tablet or laptop to the next player. There is an optional screen between turns that shows whose turn it is, so nobody moves by mistake.
Are the games really free?
Yes. Every game on Pass and Play Games is free to play in your browser. There is no sign-up and nothing to download, although you can install the site as an app if you like.
Do the games work offline?
Yes. After your first visit the site saves itself on your device, so the games, rules guides and tutorials keep working with no Wi-Fi or mobile data, for example on a plane or a long car ride.
Can I play against the computer?
Yes. There is a computer opponent in every game, and you choose how strongly it plays. More games with computer opponents are on the way.
What happens if I close the page in the middle of a game?
Your current game is saved automatically on your device after every move. Open the same game again and it continues exactly where you stopped, including whose turn it is.
